Does my sauna arrive assembled?
North Country delivers completed sauna structures rather than flat-pack kits. We will confirm the delivery method, placement plan, and any on-site connections required for your chosen build.
What kind of foundation do I need?
Plan for a stable, level base with good drainage. A properly prepared gravel pad is a common choice; suitable pavers or a structurally adequate deck may also be possible. We will review your location before you prepare the site. Explore our site preparation services →
Can a sauna be delivered into a tight backyard?
Access needs to be reviewed in advance, including driveway width, turns, overhead clearance, slopes, and the route to the pad. North Country describes specialized placement equipment and crane options for some sites. Availability and additional costs must be confirmed for your property.
Will I need electricity?
That depends on the heater and accessories. A wood-fired sauna can be configured without grid power; electric heaters and powered equipment such as plunge chillers need an appropriate electrical supply. Lighting may be grid-powered or configured for off-grid use. We will confirm the requirements for your quote.
Can I use it in winter?
North Country designs its insulated outdoor saunas for year-round use. Warm-up time depends on the model, heater, outdoor temperature, and how the sauna is operated. Follow the instructions supplied with your build.
What maintenance should I expect?
Let the interior dry and ventilate after use, clean benches as directed, and maintain the heater and sauna stones according to their instructions. Wood-fired models also need ash removal. Exterior wood finishes need periodic care appropriate to your exposure and finish.
How do pricing, delivery costs, and lead times work?
